The Lincoln Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 1 st , at 7:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Township Hall, 5173 Johnsfield Rd., Standish, MI. 48658, for the purpose of hearing comments regarding amendments to the Township’s Zoning Ordinance that pertain to the regulation of Medical Marijuana Facilities and Adult-Use Marijuana Establishments. Proposed amendments include:

• New definitions related to Medical Marijuana Facilities and Adult-Use Marijuana Establishments. – Modifies Section 2.2 – Definitions.
• Additions to the Agricultural (AG), Commercial (C) and Highway Interchange (HI) Zoning Districts to allow certain Medical and Adult-Use Marijuana Facilities and Establishments as Special Uses. Modifies Sections 4.5.2, 4.7.2 and 4.9.2.
• Revisions to the Special Land Use Permit Standards to regulate the construction, development and operation of Marijuana Facilities and Establishments.- Creates Section 8.17.

At that time, all interested parties will be heard regarding the adoption of the proposed amendments. The proposed amendments may be viewed by calling Zoning Administrator, Brenda Matt at 989-233- 1428. Written comments on the proposed amendments may be mailed to Planning Commission Chair, Keith Haas at 5600 Bentley Rd., Standish, MI. 48658. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services who are planning to attend should notify the Township Clerk, Ardith Demo at 989-324-8008 at least two days in advance of the public hearing.
